Mint oil is a very fast acting refreshing substance; it quickly helps dizziness, trembling and general weakness. It has a warming effect; which can help relieve cramps, stimulate digestion and help flatulence, nausea and vomiting, travel sickness and seasickness.
During pregnancy it can be used as a harmless remedy to help with morning sickness. Because of its antiseptic qualities, a few drops into an inhaler may help with cold and flu symptoms. Peppermint Oil, diluted in a carrier oil, is also very good to massage on tight sore muscles, lumbago, bruises, joint pains and insect bites.
Important Note:
People suffering from hay fever should not take Peppermint Oil as it could irritate the mucous membranes. Children below the age of 6 should not use it either, although burning or inhaling the oil does not harm. Take care not to use too much at any one time, as this oil is very concentrated. We recommend 1 to 2 drops only.
