Black Pepper

Piper Nigrum is indigenous plant to south India and has been used for flavouring and in traditional medicines for many centuries. Black pepper is made from the green unripe drupes which are cooked in hot water briefly to rupture the skins before drying. Oil is then extracted by crushing them.
