Nahrin Lemon Oil – 15ml

The natural lemon oil is taken from the oil glands of the lemon peel by cold pressing and afterwards processed in the centrifuge. Approx. 200 kg of lemons are required to get 1 kg of essence.
Lemon is very light and heat sensitive and therefore we advise to store it in the refrigerator. Often manufacturers add stabilizers in order to extend the durability.

In aromatherapy the lemon essence is one with a multitude of beneficial applications. Lemon oil has a very high oscillation (in comparison with sandal wood which has a low oscillation). All these oils put you in a better mood, a so-called uplifting when you feel tired. It activates body and brain. It stimulates your  concentration capacity, sharpens your brain and strengthens your memory. Lemon oil is a “reason“ oil compared with emotional oils like for example Ylang Ylang. Lemon oil is suitable to use while working at your desk to aid concentration. Lemon oil has also a very strong germicidal and therefore antiseptic effect. It is ideal to disinfect the ambient air in rooms and is therefore often used in hospitals. Another field of application is – for the same reason – body deodorants. It neutralizes bad odor of sweating.

Lemon oil has a positive effect against different illnesses of the throat and is being used in asthma therapy.

Generally lemon essence is stimulating the auto defence system of the human body because it activates the white blood cells and is therefore used to protect oneself in times of flu (the well known glass of lemon or orange juice for breakfast during winter time).

Insect bites can be treated with pure lemon oil – it reduces itching and avoids swelling up. The fresh fragrance of lemon is also very pleasant for sauna blends, for example combined with peppermint or eucalyptus.

Lemon oil can also be added to massage oils or creams; it has a toning effect on muscles.

Combines very well with lavender, peppermint and eucalyptus oil.

This product is 100% natural and contains the highest quality essential oils which have been distilled in steam currents in Swiss laboratories.

USE

• Aroma therapy: Add 3 drops to the water of the aroma therapy lamp
• Aerosol: Add 3 – 5 drops in an aerosol spray
• Rubs: 1 drop per rub on energy point
• Massage: Add 3 – 5 drops to a massage oil
• Sauna: Add 3 – 5 drops to the sauna water
• Bath: Add 10 drops to the bathing water (you need an emulsifier like honey, milk or a Nahrin Thyme Bath Essence)
• Steam bath: Add 3 – 5 drops to the water
• Foot bath: Add 3 drops to a bowl filled with warm or tepid water
• Skin: Add 1 drop into a little bit of base cream for local skin application. Massage lightly until absorbed.
• Air humidifier: Add 3 drops to the water of the air humidifier

Note: the fragrance directly from the bottle is for some oils too strong and does not represent the real fragrance once dissolved. This is particularly valid for pure oils.
