Active Ingredients:Blackcurrant extract – Ribes Nigrum Fruit Extract: These deep dark blue berries are a true beauty snack: They have the highest vitamin C content among all garden fruits – the key nutrient for smooth, firm skin and tight connective tissue. As early as the 12th century, monasteries used blackcurrant extract, native to Central Europe, for treating skin problems. Today, it is scientifically proved that blackcurrant oil is rich in linoleic acid, an important polyunsaturated omega-6 fatty acids, which stabilise the skin’s barrier layer and improve its moisture-storing capacity making it smooth and supple. Blackcurrant extracts are thus found mainly in care products designed for dry skin as well as in creams and lotions for neurodermatitis patients, whose sensitive skin is often lacking a certain form of linoleic acid. Acerola cherry extract – Malpighia Glabra (Acerola) Fruit Extract Natural vitamin C is difficult to extract and therefore only viable with fruits containing a very high vitamin C content such as the Acerola cherry.
